A teenager in a New York suburb says she was sexually assaulted by a police officer, who is also the husband of a WNBC news anchor.
A report on the case said the 17-year-old gave an accurate description of the genitals of New Rochelle Sgt. David Rodriguez, the Journal News reported. Rodriguez, who has been suspended with pay, denies the charge.
Rodriguez is married to Darlene Rodriguez, anchor of "Today in New York." The couple have three children.
The girl says Rodriguez and other officers came to her home to arrest her boyfriend. She said Rodriguez returned and assaulted her.
"He forced me," she told the New York Post.

WNBC's morning anchor Darlene Rodriquez finds herself at the center of a controversy that she doesn't deserve to be in.
Rodriguez's husband, David, is accused of raping a 17-year-old girl. Darlene isn't the only one in a high profile position either. David is a cop himself.
David, who has three children with Darlene, has been suspended with pay.
"I'm here to support my husband," Darlene Rodriguez said after the arraignment, standing next to her husband. "I believe in him. I love him. He's innocent 100 percent."
Stephen Worth, Rodriguez's lawyer, criticized the investigation of the officer, saying it had been conducted "in a rather slipshod fashion."
"This is a false allegation," said Worth. "The complainant has a number of motives to make a false allegation," he said.
David Rodriguez and four was called to the victim's house to answer a domestic violence call. The 17-year-old was involved in a fight with her boyfriend, who within the span of a week was charged with third-degree assault and criminal contempt.
The girl says following that incident, Rodriguez returned to her Cliff Street home when he was off duty and raped her.
