Irish blessings

Irish blessings, irish sayings, irish blessing, irish jokes, irish poems, irish toasts

Top O' the morn to ya! I love wearing green on St. Paddy's Day. Even though I can claim less than 5% Irish in my heritage, St. Patrick's Day reminds what it's like to have fun just for the sake of having fun.

In honor of all things Irish and traveling to a place where kissing a stone can actually bring you luck, our goal today is making your eyes smile - whether you're Irish or not.

Since the Irish are known for their drinking and sense of humor, I thought I'd share a few of my sign pictures. Though they're not taken in Ireland, they remind me that having a good sense of humor lets you get away with an awful lot!

Enjoy!

Enjoy your St. Patrick's Day fun, whether you're hunting for 4-leaf clovers, kissing the Blarney Stone or enjoying a pint with your mates at the pub.

"May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand."

May you always have walls for the winds,
a roof for the rain, tea beside the fire,
laughter to cheer you, those you love near you,
and all your heart might desire.

May St. Patrick guard you wherever you go,
and guide you in whatever you do —
and may his loving protection be a blessing to you always.

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields and,
Until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Never forget what is worth remembering or remember what is best forgotten.
